NSE Avaya UC (Enterprise Unified Communications)
NSE Avaya provides an “enterprise-grade” communication platform to help customers: 1. Improve communication efficiency 2. Reduce operational costs 3. Ensure system autonomy and controllability. Based on customer requirements, we design solutions through the flexible modular architecture of Avaya Media Server & Media Gateway, delivering scalable and stable communication solutions.
NSE Avaya Aura Communication Solution Overview:
1. Core Architecture:
- Modular Architecture: Provides highly flexible modules, allowing enterprises to deploy and expand systems in phases according to current scale and functional needs.
- Centralized Management: Supports unified management across global locations, significantly reducing maintenance complexity and IT management costs.
- Seamless Integration & Evolution: Compatible with existing (Legacy) communication environments, enabling enterprises to upgrade systems and achieve digital transformation with minimal risk and cost.
2. Key System Components:
- Session Manager (SIP Routing Center): Integrates and manages all enterprise communication connections. It acts as the central nervous system of the system, eliminating traditional system silos and ensuring smooth interoperability between different locations and system versions.
- Communication Manager (Call Control Core): Ensures call stability and availability. Responsible for enterprise voice functions, Automatic Route Selection (ARS), dialing plans, and call routing.
- System Manager (Centralized Management Platform): Provides a single web interface allowing IT administrators to manage user account provisioning, permission configuration, security settings, and certificate authorization monitoring in one platform.
- Media Gateway (Media Processing & Interface Conversion): Handles voice signal processing, transcoding, and multimedia streaming, while acting as the bridge between traditional TDM analog/digital lines and IP architecture.
3. Redundancy Architecture & Security Mechanisms:
1. Server Redundancy Mechanism (ESS & LSP)
- ESS (Enterprise Survivable Server):
- Positioning: Global / regional redundancy.
- Function: When the primary CM (Communication Manager) server fails, the ESS server takes over call control functions to ensure uninterrupted enterprise communications across locations.
- LSP (Local Survivable Processor):
- Positioning: Local branch office redundancy.
- Function: Deployed in remote offices. When the branch loses connection with headquarters, LSP automatically enters survivability mode to maintain internal calls and outbound dialing.

2. Perimeter Security Protection (ASBC)
-
- Avaya Session Border Controller for Enterprise (ASBC)
- Positioning: The frontline firewall for enterprise communications.
- Functions:
- Security: Deep inspection of SIP traffic, protecting against SIP scanning, DDoS attacks, and unauthorized access.
- Remote Worker: Securely connects IP phones or softphones to corporate systems via encrypted channels without requiring a traditional VPN.
- SIP Trunk Connectivity: Provides standardized secure interconnection with telecom providers (ITSP) and resolves protocol differences through normalization.
